Highway 401 / Brock South Whitby construction affects DRT, GO service, starting April 6



Durham Region Transit has announced that construction

  • on the Brock Street South bridge over Highway 401,

affects its services, starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 6. It’s detouring buses along these routes:

  • 302 Baldwin - Brock;
  • 905 Thickson - Reach; and
  • 917 Bayly - Consumers.

Construction on the bridge likely also affects GO Transit service along these routes, but GO has not announced detours:

  • 81 Beaverton / Whitby;
  • 90 Lakeshore East; and
  • 96 Oshawa / Finch express.

Construction at Highway 401 / Brock South and the DRT and GO service changes continue until April 9.


302 Baldwin - Brock

From 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 6 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 9, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Brock Street South and Burns Street, then detour:

westward along Burns West;
southward along Henry Street; and then
eastward into Whitby GO Station bus terminal,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Brock Street South beyond Burns Street West and at Arthur Street.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Brock Street South across from Arthur Street and at Burns Street East.
917 Bayly - Consumers

From 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 6 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 9, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Consumers Drive and Garden Street South, then detour:

northward along Garden South;
westward along Burns Streets East and West;
southward along Henry Street;
eastward into Whitby GO Station bus terminal,
resuming their regular route.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Consumers Drive beside #180 Consumers and across from Paisley Court.

Eastbound buses reverse the westbound detour routing.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Consumers Drive at Paisley Court, beside #187 Consumers and across from Garden Street South.
905 Thickson - Reach

From 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 6 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 9, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Consumers Drive and Garden Street South, then detour:

northward along Garden South;
westward along Burns Streets East and West;
southward along Henry Street; and then
eastward into Whitby GO Station bus terminal,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Consumers Drive beside #180 Consumers and across from Paisley Court.

Northbound buses reverse the westbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Consumers Drive at Paisley Court, beside #187 Consumers and across from Garden Street South.
