Liberty Village crane activity: TTC detour, April 30 to May 2

The TTC has announced that, from 9 p.m. Friday, April 30 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 2, it’s detouring buses along this route due to “a crane lift”:

  • 63 Ossington.

It has not specified where crane activity is disrupting service along the route, but it’s likely on **East Liberty Street east of Strachan Avenue.

From 9 p.m. Friday, April 30 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 2, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Strachan Avenue and East Liberty Street, then detour:

southward along Strachan;
westward along Manitoba Drive and Saskatchewan Road;
northward along Dufferin Street; and then
eastward along Liberty Street to Atlantic Avenue,
resuming their regular route northward along Atlantic.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on East Liberty Street beyond Pirandello Street and at Lynn Williams Street and
  • on Liberty Street at Atlantic Avenue.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Strachan Avenue at Manitoba Drive,
  • on Manitoba Drive across from Canada Boulevard, beside Exhibition Loop, across from Nova Scotia Avenue and at Saskatchewan Road,
  • on Saskatchewan Road at Dufferin Street and
  • on Dufferin Street across from Springhurst Avenue and at Liberty Street.
