TTC closing York Mills Station bus terminal for maintenance and renovations, starting May 9



Update — Monday, August 30, 4:15 p.m.: The building owner has postponed the project “until mid-September”, perhaps as early as Sunday, September 15. Construction continues “for three months”, meaning it continues as late as until December 31.


(Updated — Monday, August 30, 4:15 p.m.) “As early as” Sunday, May 9 September 15, the TTC is closing the bus terminal at York Mills Station to accommodate maintenance and renovations by the building owner. Although the TTC is not performing this work, the project requires the transit agency to temporarily change bus services.

It’s rerouting seven of nine bus routes that operate out of York Mills Station. Buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary terminal in the parking lot on the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Wilson Avenue:

  • 95 York Mills;
  • 96 Wilson;
  • 115 Silver Hills;
  • 122 Graydon Hall;
  • 165 Weston Rd North;
  • 995 York Mills express;
  • 996 Wilson express.

Buses along the 78 St. Andrews route loop on-street, dropping off or picking up passengers on York Mills Road beside the station:

southward along Yonge Street; and then
eastward along Old York Mills Road to York Mills Road.

Buses along the 97A / 97B Yonge route loop on-street, dropping off or picking up passengers on York Mills Road beside the station:

eastward along Old York Mills Road; and then
westward along York Mills Road to Yonge Street.

(Updated — Monday, August 30, 4:15 p.m.) Buses continue to operate to and from the temporary terminals at York Mills Station “until September 2021”, meaning as late as until September 30 “for three months”, meaning it continues as late as until December 31.
