Church Street Weston construction: TTC detour, starting May 13



The TTC has announced that, starting 9 a.m. Thursday, May 13, it’s detouring buses off of Church Street Weston between Weston Road and George Street due to an “intersection reconstruction” project. The detour affects buses along this route:

Construction on Church Street and the resulting TTC detour continue until May 16 (5 a.m.).


59A Maple Leaf via Gary

From 9 a.m. Thursday, May 13 until 5 a.m. Sunday, May 16, buses operate along their regular route to Weston Road and Church Street, then detour:

southward along Weston;
eastward along King Street; and then
northward along George Street to Church,
resuming their regular route eastward along Church.

Buses skip their regular stops

  • on Church Street beyond Weston Road and at George Street.

Instead, buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Weston Road across from Church Street and Fern Avenue.
59B Maple Leaf via Church

From 9 a.m. Thursday, May 13 until 5 a.m. Sunday, May 16, buses operate along their regular route to Church and George Streets, then detour:

southward along George;
westward along Fern Avenue; and then
northward along Weston Road to Church,
resuming their regular route northward along Weston.

Buses skip their regular stop

  • on Church Street at Weston Road.

Instead, buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Weston Road at Church Street.
