Starting Tuesday, May 25, the City of Mississauga is closing
- Kariya Gate between City Centre Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road West
to accommodate Region of Peel contractors who are installing a sanitary sewer. (The work is just one component of the larger Burnhamthorpe water project to improve water services in the Mississauga City Centre area.)
MiWay is detouring buses along these routes around the work zone:
Sanitary-sewer construction on Kariya Gate and the resulting MiWay detours continue until June 11.
3 Bloor
From Tuesday, May 25 until Friday, June 11, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to City Centre Drive and Robert Speck Parkway West, then detour:
eastward along Robert Speck West;
southward along Hurontario Street; and then
westward along Burnhamthorpe Road West to Kariya Gate / Kariya Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Kariya Drive.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on City Centre Drive across from Robert Speck Parkway West and Kariya Gate.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Robert Speck Parkway West beyond City Centre Drive and
- on Hurontario Street at Burnhamthorpe Road West.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Kariya Gate at City Centre Drive and
- on City Centre Drive beyond Kariya Gate and at Robert Speck Parkway West.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Burnhamthorpe Road West at Sussex Gate and
- on Robert Speck Parkway West at City Centre Drive.
26 Burnhamthorpe
Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday, May 29 until Sunday, June 6, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to City Centre Drive and Robert Speck Parkway West, then detour:
eastward along Robert Speck West; and then
southward along Hurontario Street to Burnhamthorpe Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Burnhamthorpe East.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
