Whitby GO Station: Station building elevator construction, accessible shuttle service, starting May 25

Tuesday, May 25, GO Transit starts construction on the elevator closest to Whitby GO Station building tunnel. You can still access an elevator to the platform in the pedestrian bridge through the south parking lot.

It’s also introducing accessible shuttle-bus service. If you are in the north parking lot and require elevator access, the shuttle bus will transport you from the north parking lot to the south parking lot so you can access the pedestrian bridge elevator.

To register for the accessible shuttle service, call GO at 416-869-3200 or 1-888-438-6646 (toll-free). You can also ask for paper copy of the request form from a station ambassador.

Since Monday, April 19, GO has closed the pedestrian tunnel elevator to the platform at the station, while crews upgrade it.

Crews continue upgrading the pedestrian elevator to the platform at Whitby GO Station “over a period of about three months”, meaning construction continues as late as until July 18.
