Hurontario LRT: Utility work affects Brampton Transit, MiWay stops, starting June 14

Metrolinx and its contractors continue to prepare for upcoming construction of the Hurontario light rail transit line in Mississauga and Brampton.


Since mid-September 2020, contractors have been relocating utilities

  • on Hurontario Street between Highway 407 and Matheson Boulevard

as part of the LRT construction project. The work zone blocks traffic lanes.

Starting Monday, June 14, northbound MiWay stop #1888

  • on Hurontario Street beyond Superior Boulevard

is out of service, due to the construction. Board or exit buses at a temporary bus platform 70 metres south of the regular stop.

Passengers aboard MiWay buses along this route can also expect delays:

  • 103 Hurontario express.

Hurontario LRT construction on Hurontario at Superior continues to affect MiWay service until June 25.


Although Brampton Transit has not announced service changes, LRT construction at Hurontario / Superior may also affect passengers aboard northbound buses along this route:

  • 7 Kennedy.

Passengers aboard buses along this route can also expect delays:

  • 502 Züm Main.
