York Region Transit expects to start a project to improve the parking lot at Newmarket Terminal “late June” — perhaps as early as Monday, June 14.

Crews work every day, including overnight, to reduce impacts to residents and nearby businesses and complete construction as quickly as possible.

The work zone does not impact YRT services to and from the terminal. All buses serving passengers in the terminal continue to operate with their regular schedules.

From Friday, June 11 until Sunday, June 13, YRT closed the bus terminal to repair the roadway. Buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops in the parking lot.

Parking lot construction at Newmarket Terminal continues “until late August”, meaning as late as until August 31.
