TTC conducting geotechnical testing at the Hillcrest Complex, starting "the week of" June 21

During “the week of” Monday, June 21, TTC crews are conducting geotechnical field testing at the Hillcrest Complex. The crews are drilling 13 test boreholes to obtain ground samples and install monitoring wells for future groundwater samples. This type of field work is part of an assessment that TTC is undertaking at all of its operational yard facilities.

Crews use a drill rig to conduct this testing daily from about 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. They’ll unload the rig from a trailer. They drill at each site for about 20 minutes. Nearby residents and business people can expect noise or hear vibration when machinery is fully operating.

Geotechnical testing at the Hillcrest Complex continues until June 25.
