Pickering GO Station: Another staircase closed, starting June 21



Metrolinx continues working to enhance Pickering GO Station, as part of the GO Expansion Program.


Starting Monday, June 21, [GO Transit](http://www.gotransit.com/ is updating the staircase between the station building and platform 3. You can still access platform 3 from an alternate staircase.

Crews work Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The work zone does not restrict access to the train platforms.

Platform-3 staircase construction at Pickering GO Station continues until June 23.


Since Friday, May 21, GO has been updating and replacing the staircases in the east tunnel.

GO is closing each staircase in phases, maintaining access to the platform from an alternate staircase.

Upgrading the staircases in the east tunnel of Pickering GO Station continues until July 6.


Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Lakeshore East line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
