TTC and partners host virtual meeting on Waterfront East LRT project, June 21



The City of Toronto, Waterfront Toronto and the TTC are hosting a virtual meeting tonight, Monday, June 21 to consult with members of the public on the Waterfront East light rail transit project.

The meeting takes place from 7 until 9 p.m. You must register to attend the event.

During the event, you can learn more about ongoing work for the LRT extension, including:

  • early designs for extending Queens Quay East between Parliament Street and Distillery Loop, including options for crossing under the rail corridor at Cherry Street;
  • the design of the surface section of the LRT and Queens Quay East streetscape, including an update on the Yonge Street Slip;
  • the design of the underground section of the LRT between Union Station and the proposed portal on Queens Quay East and a new design concept plan for Bay Street after completing underground construction;
  • project phasing and implementation
  • the upcoming transit project assessment process (TPAP) for the project
  • feedback from the February consultations.
