Queen Elizabeth Way Mississauga construction: MiWay detour, starting June 28



The Ontario Ministry of Transportation continues a project to upgrade the Queen Elizabeth Way through Mississauga.

Starting Monday, June 28, the work zone blocks access from South Service Road to the QEW east of Dixie Road.

MiWay is detouring buses along this route, while the access is closed:

  • 4 Sherway Gardens.

Construction at South Service Road and the QEW and the resulting MiWay detour continue until further notice.


4 Sherway Gardens

Starting Monday, June 28, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Dixie Mall terminal, then proceed:

northward along Dixie;
eastward along Queensway East [Mississauga] and The Queensway [Toronto];
southward along The West Mall; and then
eastward along Evans Avenue to Sherway Gate,
resuming their regular route **northward along Sherway Gate.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on South Service Road at Live Oak Drive.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Dixie Road beyond Sherway Drive and across from Kendall Road.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route.
