From 10 p.m. Saturday, July 10 until 9 a.m. Sunday, July 11, the Region of York is closing
- 16th Avenue [Regional Road 73] between Cachet Woods Court and Mural Street / Vogell Road
in the City of Markham during construction resulting from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation project to improve Highway 404.
York Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 16 16th Avenue.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, July 10 until 9 a.m. Sunday, July 11, westbound buses operate along their regular route to 16th and Woodbine Avenues, then detour:
northward along Woodbine;
westward along Major Mackenzie Drive East; and then
southward along Leslie Street to 16th,
resuming their regular route westward along 16th.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on 16th Avenue at Cachet Woods Court, Vogell Road and Leslie Street.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Woodbine Avenue at Calvert Road, south of Rodick Road and at Rodick Road and Personna Boulevard,
- on Major Mackenzie Drive East beyond Woodbine Avenue, across from Nichols Boulevard, at Markland Street and at Via Renzo Drive and
- on Leslie Street south of Major Mackenzie Drive East, at Headford Avenue, south of Headford Avenue and at 16th Avenue.
Eastbound buses reverse the westbound detour routing.
Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on 16th Avenue at Leslie Street, east of Leslie Street, at Mural Street, across from Cachet Woods Court and at Woodbine Avenue.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Major Mackenzie Drive East across from Via Renzo Drive and at Markland Street, Nichols Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue and
- on Woodbine Avenue beyond Major Mackenzie Drive East and at Oakford Drive, Hillmount Road and Markland Street.
Note that the first eastbound bus Sunday, July 11 starts its trip on Woodbine Avenue at 16th Avenue.
