Cornell Rouge Boulevard Markham construction: YRT detour, starting July 12



Starting Monday, July 16, the City of Markham is closing

  • Cornell Rouge Boulevard between Autumn Glow Drive and William Forster Road

to accommodate a construction project.

York Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 25 Major Mackenzie.

Construction on Cornell Rouge Boulevard and the resulting YRT detour continue until July 16.


25 Major Mackenzie

From Monday, July 12 until Friday, July 16, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Cornell Rouge Boulevard and William Forster Road, then detour:

eastward along William Forster;
northward along Webb Street; and then
westward along Autumn Glow Drive to Cornell Rouge,
resuming their regular route northward along Cornell Rouge.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Cornell Rouge Boulevard at Autumn Glow Drive.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Autumn Glow Drive at Cornell Rouge Boulevard.

Eastbound buses reverse the westbound detour routing.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Cornell Rouge Boulevard at William Forster Road.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on William Forster Road at Cornell Rouge Boulevard.
