The Government on Ontario is opening temporary road-test centres at two sites in the province, including at Oshawa GO Station next Monday, August 9. The goal of the temporary test centres is to increase the number of passenger road tests (class G2/G) available in areas where demand is highest.
The temporary centre at Oshawa GO is in the secondary parking lot, northwest of the main station parking lot. You can access the site from Bloor Street West. It occupies about 60 out of 2,390 parking spaces at the station. GO says, “There is ample parking available for GO [passengers].”
Starting Monday, the temporary centre in Oshawa offers class G2/G road tests from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.
Ontario plans to open more temporary road-test centres across the Greater Golden Horseshoe [in September](/archives/weblog/2021/09/03-ontario_op.shtml.
