Update — Friday, September 17, 8:21 a.m.: Construction on Mississauga Road between Eglinton Avenue West and Eckland Court resumes from Monday, September 20 until Friday, October 1 and MiWay is again detouring the buses.
Starting Labour Day, Monday, September 6, the City of Mississauga is closing
- Mississauga Road south of Eglinton Avenue West
to accommodate Region of Peel contractors who are replacing the water mains between Eglinton West and Eckland Court.
MiWay is detouring along this route, while the street is closed:
- 44 Mississauga Road.
Construction on Mississauga Road and the resulting MiWay detour continue until September 10.
Construction for the same project on Mississauga between Eglinton West and Eckland previously blocked MiWay buses from operating along this part of Mississauga Road from Monday, February 23 until Monday, June 28.
44 Mississauga Road
From 7 a.m. Monday, September 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 10, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Mississauga Road at Eglinton West, then detour:
westward along Mississauga;
southward along Erin Mills Parkway; and then
eastward along Burnhamthorpe Road West to Mississauga,
resuming their regular route southward along Mississauga.Southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at their usual stops
- on Mississauga Road at Tattersall Way and Badminton Drive, beyond Queensborough Gate, across from Bridlepath Trail, north of Lapad Court and at Burnhamthorpe Road West.
Instead, southbound buses serve passengers at temporary stops
- on Eglinton Avenue West at The Chase and Summersky Court and across from Credit Valley Hospital,
- on Erin Mills Parkway beyond Eglinton Avenue West and at Credit Valley Road and Folkway Drive and
- on Burnhamthorpe Road West at Sawmill Valley Drive.
Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.
Northbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at their usual stops
- on Mississauga Road at Burnhamthorpe Road West, the walkway to Paddock Crescent and Bridlepath Trail, across from Badminton Drive and Tattersall Way and at Eglinton Avenue West.
Instead, northbound buses serve passengers at temporary stops
- on Burnhamthorpe Road West beyond Mississauga Road and at Sawmill Valley Drive.
- on Erin Mills Parkway at Folkway Drive and beyond Folkway Drive and
- on Eglinton Avenue West beyond Erin Mills Parkway and at Credit Valley Road and The Chase.
