Ontario opening temporary road-test centres at Burlington and Mount Joy GO stations, replacing parking spots, September 7

The Government on Ontario is opening temporary road-test centres at two sites — at Burlington and Mount Joy GO stations next Tuesday, September 7. The goal of the temporary test centres is to increase the number of passenger road tests (class G2/G) available in areas where demand is highest.

The temporary centre at Burlington GO Station is in the northwest corner of the secondary parking lot, near the access from Queensway Drive and Plains Road East. It occupies about 60 out of 2,100 parking spaces at the station.

The temporary centre at Mount Joy GO Station is on the southwest side corner of the main parking lot, off Markham Road, near the Markham Outdoor Power dealership. It occupies about 60 out of 1,325 parking spaces at the station.

GO says, “There is ample parking available for GO [passengers]” at the two stations.

Starting Tuesday, the temporary centres in Burlington and Mount Joy offer class G2/G road tests from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.

Ontario previously opened a temporary road-test centre at Oshawa GO Station Monday, August 9. It plans to open another later this month at East Gwillimbury GO Station.
