Starting 9 a.m. Monday, October 4, the City of Hamilton is closing
- Airport Road West between East Cargo Road and Homestead Drive
to accommodate a construction project.
The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 20 A-Line express.
Construction on Airport Road West and the resulting HSR detour continue until December 3.

From 9 a.m. Monday, October 4 until 9 p.m. Friday, December 3, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Airport Road West and Airport Access Road, then detour:
southward along Airport Access;
southeastward along Ontario Highway 6; and then
northward along Upper James Street to Airport Road,
resuming their regular route northward along Upper James.Northbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Airport Road West across from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and at Homestead Drive.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Upper James Street at Airport Road East.
Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Homestead Drive and Airport Road West, then detour:
eastward along Airport West;
southward along Upper James Street;
northwestward along Ontario Highway 6; and then
northward along Airport Access Road to Airport West,
resuming their regular route northward along Airport Access.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Airport Road West beyond Homestead Drive and beside the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Airport Road West [eastbound] beyond Homestead Drive.
