Durham Region Transit has announced that, starting Monday, October 25, it is relocating bus stop #2603
- on King Street West, eastbound, beyond (east of) Centre Street South.
Buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop on King Street West at (west of) Centre Street South:
- 403 Park;
- 900 PULSE Highway 2; and
- 902 King.
Buses along the N1 Simcoe / Highway 2 overnight route continue to serve passengers at the regular stop.
DRT has not announced a reason for temporarily relocating the bus stop. However, the City of Oshawa has two construction projects at or near the site of the stops:
- repairing the seal on King West between McMillan Drive and Simcoe Street and on King East between Simcoe and Division Streets; and
- improving the streetscape on King West between Prince and Simcoe Streets.
DRT buses continue to drop off or pick up passengers at the temporary stop until December 17.
