Concession Street Hamilton construction: HSR detour, October 24



From 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, October 23, the City of Hamilton is closing

  • Concession Street between East 22nd Street and Summit Avenue,

while crews repair catch basins.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 23 Upper Gage; and
  • 24 Upper Sherman.

From 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, October 23, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Concession Street and East 22nd Street, then detour:

southward along East 22nd;
westward along Crockett Street; and then
northward along Upper Wentworth Street to Concession,
resuming their regular route westward along Concession.

Inbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Concession Street at Summit Avenue.

Instead, inbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Upper Wentworth Street at Concession Street.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route to Concession and Upper Wentworth Streets, then detour:

southward along Upper Wentworth;
eastward along Crockett Street; and then
northward along East 23rd Street to Concession,
resuming their regular route eastward along Concession.

Outbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Concession Street at East 22nd Street.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
