Dundas West / Bloor West track repairs: TTC detours, October 27, 28

Wednesday, October 27, TTC track crews are excavating near the streetcar tracks

  • on Dundas Street West just south of Bloor Street West.

They’re investigating a sinkhole that is developing on the roadway and undermining the tracks. They’re excavating part of the track lanes (outside margin area of tracks) until 11 p.m. tonight to expose an area so that they can undertake a preliminary assessment. If necessary, they’ll continue to excavate in the track lanes Thursday October 28 at about 7 a.m. to further explore, assess and correct the situation.

The TTC is detouring streetcars along these routes around the work zone:

  • 306 Carlton overnight; and
  • 505 Dundas.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between Dundas West Station and Dundas Street West / Howard Park Avenue.

The TTC recently repaired the tracks in the same area from Friday, October 15 until Monday, October 18.
