Update — Sunday, October 31, 4:47 a.m.: GO has resolved the track issue and regular train service has resumed.

Due to issues with the track between Port Credit GO and Clarkson GO stations on GO Transit’s Lakeshore West line, GO has decreased the frequency of service from every 30 minutes to every hour. GO is also operating shuttle buses to transport passengers between the two stops.

PRESTO card users must tap off at Port Credit and Clarkson GO stations before boarding the GO bus shuttle.

Trains to and from Niagara Falls operate between Oakville GO Station and Niagara Falls VIA Rail Station, stopping only at Burlington, Aldershot, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls GO stations.

GO hasn’t officially identified the nature of “the issues with the track” between the stations. Some Transit Toronto readers suggest that the cause is due to soft ground resulting from the large amount of rain that has fallen recently.

GO says, “Train service [is] modified until the end of today.”
