Starting Tuesday, November 9, the City of Brampton is closing
- Chinguacousy Road between Mayfield Road and Wanless Road
to accommodate contractors who are widening the roadway to improve the traffic capacity.
Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 28 Wanless.
Construction on Chinguacousy Road and the resulting BT detour continue “for approximately two months”, meaning as late as until December 31.

From Tuesday, November 9 until Friday, December 31, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Remembrance Road and Brisdale Drive, then detour:
southward along Brisdale; and then
eastward along Wanless Drive to Chinguacousy Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Wanless.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Remembrance Road beyond Bucksaw Street and at Cohoe Street.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Wanless Drive beyond Brisdale Drive and at Chinguacousy Road.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Remembrance Road beyond Hawtrey Road and at Brisdale Drive.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Wanless Drive at Brisdale Drive.
