Starting Wednesday, November 10, City of Mississauga contractors start a project to upgrade the sidewalks

• on the south side of Laird Road between Vega Boulevard and Ridgeway Drive.

Crews are also improving the bus stop during the project.

The work zone blocks bus access to MiWay stop #1661 on Laird west of Ridgeway. Instead, buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop on Vega south of Laird.

MiWay buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at the temporary stop:

• 1 Dundas; and
• 101A Dundas express.

Oakville Transit buses along these routes serve passengers at the temporary stop:

• 6 Upper Middle;
• 12 Winston Park; and
• 120 Northeast Industrial.

Construction on Laird Road and the resulting MiWay and OT service changes continue “for approximately 6 weeks”, meaning as late as until December 22.
