A parade forms up at the Royal Canadian Legion at 10 a.m., moves off at 10:30 a.m. and end at the cenotaph at Town Hall at 11 a.m.

Durham Region Transit is detouring buses before, during and after the event.

902A King

From 10 a.m. until noon Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11, westbound buses operate along their regular route to King Street East and Ontario Street, then detour:

southward along Ontario;
westward along Queen Street; and then
northward along Scugog Street to King East,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on King Street East beyond George Street and at Temperance Street.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

From 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Norfolk and Macdonell Streets, then detour:

southward along Norfolk and Gordon Streets;
eastward along Fountain Street;
northward along Wyndham Streets South and North;
eastward along Carden Street and then circling Guelph Central Station terminal,
stopping at platform 7.

Northbound buses proceed from platform 18 in Guelph Central Station terminal:

eastward along Macdonell Street;
southwestward along Wellington Street East;
northward along Gordon and Norfolk Streets to Macdonell Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Norfolk.

From 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Bay Street between Dundas and Queen Streets West and
  • Queen Street West between York and Yonge Streets

to accommodate the City’s official ceremony at the Cenotaph in front of Old City Hall.

The TTC is likely detouring buses, while the streets are closed. However, it continues to suffer from the effects of a recent ransomware attack on its communications systems, so it has not been able to announce detours this year.
