Toronto Argonauts game affects TTC service, November 16



Tuesday, November 16 evening, Exhibition Place is closing various streets in its grounds to accommodate crowds of Toronto Argonauts fans before, during and after the Canadian Football League game against the Edmonton Elks at BMO Field.

The TTC is shortening the path for buses along these routes, while the streets are closed:

  • 29 Dufferin; and
  • 929 Dufferin express.

29 Dufferin

From 5 until 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Dufferin Street and Springhurst Avenue, then detour:

westward along Springhurst;
southward along Fort Rouille Street; and then
eastward into Dufferin Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Saskatchewan Road beyond Dufferin Street,
  • on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street and Nova Scotia Avenue and across from Exhibition Loop and
  • on Canada Boulevard at Princes’ Boulevard.

Instead, southbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop

  • in Dufferin Gate Loop.

Northbound buses start their trips in Dufferin Gate Loop, then proceed:

along their regular route northward along Dufferin Street.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Canada Boulevard at Princes’ Boulevard,
  • on Princes’ Boulevard across from Newfoundland Road,
  • on Nunavut Road beside the Horse Palace,
  • on Manitoba Drive across from Nova Scotia Avenue and at Saskatchewan Road,
  • on Saskatchewan Road at Dufferin Street and
  • on Dufferin Street at Springhurst Avenue.

Instead, northbound buses pick up passengers

  • in Dufferin Gate Loop.
