Another Richard Glaze film transfer, co-produced with our partners at Halton County Radial Railway and edited by Transit Toronto’s James Bow.
Here we look at the former KING-EXHIBITION streetcar route, which ran from 1879-2000 and briefly revived in 2013.
In August 1969, Richard Glaze headed downtown to visit the Canadian National Exhibition, but, first, he detoured to King and Church to catch a particular ride. The KING-EXHIBITION streetcar service was operating, having been cut down to Church Street that season. Richard took his camera and logged this route, and we have this video as a result, 53 years later.
