Queen East construction: TTC revises streetcar and bus routes, starting November 21

Since Sunday, October 10, TTC crews have been upgrading the overhead wiring

  • on Queen Street East east of Greenwood Avenue.

The transit agency has replaced streetcars with buses since that day. Starting 5 a.m. Sunday, November 21, it’s narrowing the work zone to just east of Woodbine Avenue. Accordingly, it’s extending the path for streetcars along this route that day:

It’s also shortening the path for shuttle buses along this route:

  • 501N Queen - Neville Park.

^ Note that the map misidentifies one of the shuttle-bus routes that the TTC is operating to replace streetcars. Note that the route that the map designates as “501P” is, in real life, route “501H”.

Buses continue to operate along the entire 301 Queen overnight route between Neville Park and Long Branch loops.

Overhead-wiring work on Queen Street East and the resulting TTC service changes continue until January 2, 2022.
