From 3 until 8 p.m. Saturday, November 26, the Town of Aurora is closing various parts of Yonge Street before and during the parade.

  • From 3 until 8 p.m. - all lanes between St. Johns Sideroad and Orchard Heights Boulevard / Batson Drive;
  • From 3 until 5:30 p.m. - northbound lanes between Batson Drive and Wellington Street East; and
  • From 5:30 until 8 p.m. - all lanes between Orchard Heights Boulevard / Batson Drive and Industrial Parkway South.

York Region Transit is detouring buses while the streets are closed.

From 5:30 until 8 p.m. Saturday, November 27, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Victoria Street beyond Wellington Street East, ending their trips.

Northbound buses start their trips on Victoria Street south of Wellington Street East, then proceed:

Closing the streets affects GO Transit and York Region Transit services.

GO has not announced detours, but from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 26 and from noon until 10 p.m. Saturday, November 27, expect detours or delays through downtown Stouffville.

After 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 26, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Millard Avenue and Ninth Line, then detour:

The City of Toronto is resuming it’s annual holiday celebration on Nathan Phillips Square at City Hall this year.

Before, during and after the opening ceremonies, from 3 until 11 p.m. Saturday, November 27, the TTC is detouring buses away from the venue.
