Starting 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, the City of Pickering is closing
- Valley Farm Road between Fieldlight Boulevard and Kingston Road
to accommodate a road-construction project.
Durham Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 110 Finch.
Road construction on Valley Farm Road and the resulting DRT detour continue until December 17.

From 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 8 until 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 17, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Kingston and Glenanna Roads, then detour:
north- and westward along Glenanna; and then
north- and eastward along Fieldlight Boulevard to Valley Farm Road,
resuming their regular route northward along Valley Farm.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Kingston Road beyond Glenanna Road and
- on Valley Farm Road beyond Kingston Road.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Glenanna Road beyond Kingston Road and
- on Fieldlight Boulevard at Valley Farm Road.
Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Valley Farm Road and Fieldlight Boulevard, then detour:
west- and southward along Fieldlight; and then
east- and southward along Glenanna Road to Kingston Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Glenanna.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Valley Farm Road beside #1972 Valley Farm and
- on Kingston Road beyond Valley Farm Road.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Fieldlight Boulevard beyond Valley Farm Road and
- on Glenanna Road at Kingston Road.
