Upper Horning Road Hamilton construction: HSR detour, December 13



From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, December 13, the City of Hamilton is closing

  • the intersection of Upper Horning Road with Monteagle Court,

while crews maintain or replace a hydro pole, blocking Hamilton Street Railway bus access to Upper Horning Loop.

The HSR is detouring buses along this route, while the intersection is closed:

  • 34 Upper Paradise.

34 Upper Paradise

From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, December 13, inbound buses start their trips on Upper Horning Road beyond Nellida Crescent [north], then proceed:

along their regular route southward along Upper Horning.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Upper Horning Road at Elana Court and Nellida Crescent [north].

Instead, inbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Upper Horning Road beyond Nellida Crescent [north].

Outbound buses operate along their regular route to Upper Horning Road and Nellida Crescent [south], then detour:

west-, north- and eastward along Nellida; and then
southward along Upper Horning Road to just beyond Nellida [north],
ending their trips.

Outbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Upper Horning Road at Adis Avenue and Monteagle Court.

Instead, outbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Upper Horning Road beyond Nellida Crescent [north].

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
