Starting Friday, January 7, MiWay is suspending service along two MiExpress routes and reducing the frequency of service along a third, responding to staff shortages due to absences resulting from COVID-19 and self-isolation requirements.

Today, Thursday, January 6, is the last day (for now) that MiWay operates buses along these MiExpress routes:

  • 101 / 101A Dundas express; and
  • 107 Malton express.

It’s also reducing service along this route, starting tomorrow:

  • 103 Hurontario express.

According to MiWay, it’s temporarily implementing these changes “to deliver more reliable service where it is needed most” and “to free up resources for re-allocation.” The Mississauga transit agency says “it remains committed to monitoring all routes in the transit network so that available resources are allocated in the most effective way possible.”

These reductions will be in effect until further notice.
