Starting Wednesday, January 19, the City of Toronto is closing parts of
- Sweeney Drive between Sloane Avenue and Wyndcliff Crescent and
- Wyndcliff Crescent between Sweeney Drive and Teak Avenue
during an ongoing project to modify and upgrade the storm- and sanitary-sewer system and reduce surface basement flooding.
Crews are:
- excavating the road and digging a trench to access and install the new sewers;
- replacing City-owned water service pipes that do not meet City standards from the sewer and water mains to private-property lines; and
- restoring all work areas with asphalt, concrete or grass when they’ve finished working underground.
The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 91 Woodbine.
Construction on Sweeney Drive and Wyndcliff Crescent and the resulting TTC detour continue until May 23 (6 a.m.)
91C / 91D Woodbine
Southbound buses operate along their regular route.
From 7 a.m. Wednesday, January 19 until 6 a.m. Monday, May 23, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Sloane Avenue and Sweeney Drive, then detour:
northward along Sloane; and then
northwestward along Wyndcliff Crescent to Teak Avenue,
resuming their regular route northward along Teak.Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Sweeney Drive beyond Sloane Avenue, across from Granta Avenue and at Wyndcliff Cresent.
