Starting Thursday, January 24, the City of Toronto is closing parts of
- Brian Drive south of Van Horne Avenue and
- Pleasant View Drive between Brian Drive and Clipper Road
during an ongoing project to modify and upgrade the storm- and sanitary-sewer system and reduce surface basement flooding.
Crews are:
- excavating the road and digging a trench to access and install the new sewers;
- replacing City-owned water service pipes that do not meet City standards from the sewer and water mains to private-property lines; and
- restoring all work areas with asphalt, concrete or grass when they’ve finished working underground.
The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:
Sewer construction on Brian and Pleasant View and the resulting TTC detours continue until March 21.
