GO Transit says it’s adjusting access to some amenities at Brampton GO Station.
Starting Friday, February 25, the platform shelter closest to the accessibility ramp on track 2 is now only open Mondays to Fridays from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. GO will lock the tunnels at the station Mondays to Fridays after the last train of the day and reopen them the next morning before the first train. That means it’s locking the tunnels from about 11 p.m. weekdays until 5 a.m. the next day. Weekends and holidays, the tunnels remain locked.
To access GO and Brampton Transit buses in Downtown Brampton Terminal, while the tunnels are locked:
- From the north parking lot,
- Walk to the east end of the platform and downstairs to Main Street North. Walk southward under the bridge to Nelson Street West, then westward to the bus terminal.
- For barrier-free access: proceed northward in the parking lot to Church Street West, then eastward to Main North. Continue southward under the bridge to Nelson Street West, then westward to the bus terminal.
GO says, “We believe we all have a role to play in keeping our communities safe, and we take the health and safety of everyone using our trains, buses and stations very seriously.”
