TTC revises routes and services, March 27

Starting Sunday, March 27, the TTC is revising services along several routes. According to the TTC, it’s adjusting these services “to improve service reliability, match [passenger] travel” and make sure enough buses “serve busy routes.” It’s also focussing “on restoring temporary service reductions [that it] implemented in November 2021,” meaning that it intends to increase service to earlier levels.

The TTC says that this year’s approved operating budget allows it to restore service to 100 per cent of pre-pandemic levels. This will occur over the coming months, as ridership increases.

Due to fewer riders boarding buses resulting from social distancing and lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, the TTC continues to suspend service along these express routes:

  • 141 Downtown / Mt Pleasant express;
  • 142 Downtown / Avenue Rd express;
  • 143 Downtown / Beach express;
  • 144 Downtown / Don Valley express; and
  • 145 Downtown / Humber Bay express.

The TTC also continues to suspend service along these routes due to the pandemic:

  • 176 Mimico GO shuttle;
  • 508 Lake Shore.

The TTC continues to suspend service along this route due to Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line:

  • 103 Mt Pleasant North.

As a pilot project, the TTC continues to combine route 503 service with the former 502 Downtowner route, as it has since September 9, 2019.
