GO revises services, April 2



Starting Saturday, April 2, GO Transit is re-introducing more train service along the 01 Lakeshore West and 09 Lakeshore East lines. Trains operate every 30 minutes all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and Monday-to-Friday evenings after about 7 p.m.

GO is also cancelling the last two trains along the 65 Barrie lines Monday-to-Friday evenings to accommodate ongoing construction. It’s also making other minor schedule changes to bus routes and train lines.


GO is revising service along these routes and lines: 01 Lakeshore West trains; 09 Lakeshore East trains; 12 Niagara Falls / Burlington; 15 Brantford / Burlington; 18 Lakeshore West buses; 21 Milton trains; 41 Hamilton / Pickering; 56 Oshawa / Oakville; 61 Richmond Hill trains; 65 Barrie trains; 65 East Gwillimbury / Newmarket / Toronto buses; 66 East Gwillimbury / Newmarket / North York express; 94 Pickering / Mississauga; 96 Oshawa / Finch express.

Increasing service along routes and lines


65F East Gwillimbury / Newmarket / Toronto buses

Starting Monday, April 4, GO replaces the last Monday-to-Friday trains along the 65 Barrie line with buses along the 65F branch of the route. Metrolinx contractors are working on major construction projects late nights, while trains aren’t operating. GO also continues to replace trains with buses along the line all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to accommodate the construction.

A bus replaces the southbound train that usually leaves Aurora GO Station at 8:57 p.m. The bus leaves Aurora at 9:02 p.m., dropping off or picking up passengers at most stations on the line as much as five minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Union Station Bus Terminal at 10:22 p.m.

A bus replaces the northbound train that usually leaves Union Station at 8:53 p.m. The bus leaves Union Station Bus Terminal at 8:27 p.m. The bus drops off or picks up pasengers at most stations on the line as much as 26 minutes earlier than usually. It ends its trip in Aurora at 9:47 p.m.

The replacement buses don’t operate to and from Downsview Park GO Station. Board TTC trains along Line 1 Yonge - University to Downsview Park Station.

41 Hamilton / Pickering

Starting Monday, April 4, GO again operates the eastbound bus that starts in the Hamilton GO Centre at 10 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. It ends its trip in Pickering GO Station bus terminal at 1:10 p.m.

09 Lakeshore East trains

Starting Saturday, April 2, GO resumes 30-minute service along the line all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and after about 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays between Oshawa GO Station and Union Station.

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the first eastbound train starts in Union at 6:35 a.m. Trains leave every 30 minutes until 12:45 a.m. The first westbound train starts in Oshawa at 5:40 a.m. Trains leave every 30 minutes until 11:40 p.m.

Monday-to-Friday evenings, GO operates more trains along the line, providing service every 30 minutes between Oshawa and Union all day.

18 Lakeshore West buses

Since GO is increasing train service along the 01 Lakeshore West line, it operating buses on new trips along this route to help passengers connect with trains at Aldershot GO Station.

Starting Monday, April 4, GO operates a bus on a new Burlington-bound trip along the route. The bus leaves the Hamilton GO Centre at 10:55 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. It ends in Aldershot at 11:10 p.m.

It also operates a bus on a new Hamilton-bound trip. The bus leaves Aldershot at 2 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays. It ends in the Hamilton GO Centre at 2:15 a.m.

GO is also decreasing service along the route and adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

01 Lakeshore West trains

Starting Saturday, April 2, GO resumes 30-minute service along the line all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and after about 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays between Aldershot GO Station and Union Station.

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the first westbound train starts in Union at 7:15 a.m. Trains leave every 30 minutes until 12:45 a.m. The first eastbound train starts in Aldershot at 5:25 a.m. Trains leave every 30 minutes until 11:25 p.m.

Monday-to-Friday evenings, GO operates more trains along the line, providing service every 30 minutes between Aldershot and Union all day and between West Harbour GO Station and Union every hour. It’s also extending the last trains of the day so that they operate to or from West Harbour.

56 Oshawa / Oakville

Starting Monday, April 4, GO again operates the westbound bus that starts in Oshawa GO Station bus terminal at 7:05 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. It ends its trip in Oakville GO Station bus terminal at 10:10 a.m.

Decreasing service along routes and lines


65 Barrie trains

Starting Monday, April 4, GO replaces the last Monday-to-Friday trains with buses along the 65F East Gwillimbury / Newmarket / Toronto route. Friday, April 1 is the last day that GO operates the Burlington-bound bus that usually leaves the Hamilton GO Centre at 11:10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. It’s also the last day it operates the Hamilton-bound buses that usually leave Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 12:50, 12:55 and 1 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays. Trains replace these buses.

GO is also increasing service along the route and adjusting the schedules for buses along the route.

18 Lakeshore West

Since GO is increasing train service along the 01 Lakeshore West line, it’s also adjusting the schedules for buses along this route. It’s adjusting the bus schedules so that passengers can better connect with the trains at Aldershot GO Station.

Starting Monday, April 4, the Burlington-bound buses that usually leave Brock University at 6:05 and 8:10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leave, instead, at 6:20 and 8:25 p.m. The buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops on the route as much as 15 minutes later than usually. They end their trips in Aldershot GO Station bus terminal at 8:10 and 10:10 p.m.

The Burlington-bound bus that usually leaves the Hamilton GO Centre at 8:40 p.m. leaves, instead, at 8:55 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. The bus drops off or picks up passengers at stops as much as 15 minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Aldershot GO Station bus terminal at 9:10 p.m.

GO is also increasing and decreasing service along the route.

21 Milton trains

12 Niagara Falls / Burlington

Since GO is increasing train service along the 01 Lakeshore West line, it’s also adjusting the schedules for buses along this route. It’s adjusting the bus schedules so that passengers can better connect with the trains at Burlington GO Station.

Starting Monday, April 4, the Burlington-bound buses that usually leave Niagara Falls Bus Terminal at 6:24, 7:29 and 8:29 p.m. leave, instead, at 6:39, 7:44 and 8:44 p.m. The buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops on the route as much as 15 minutes later than usually.

GO is adjusting the weekend schedules to prepare for re-introducing summer service to and from the Toronto Zoo this May.
