Lime Ridge West / West Fifth Hamilton construction: HSR overnight detour, April 7, 8



From 11 p.m. Thursday, April 7 until 7 a.m. Friday, April 8, the City of Hamilton is closing

  • Limeridge Road West, eastbound lanes, east and west of West Fifth Street,

to accommodate a construction project. The work zone blocks motorists from turning left from eastbound Limeridge West onto northbound West Fifth and from driving northbound along West Fifth Street through the intersection.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along this route, while the intersection is closed:

  • 35 College.

The City previously closed part of the intersection and the HSR detoured the buses overnight Thursday, February 17 / Friday, February 18

“via Garth and Limeridge”

From 11 p.m. Thursday, April 7 until 7 a.m. Friday, April 8, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Limeridge Road West and West Fifth Street, then detour;

eastward along Limeridge West;
northward along Hawkridge Avenue; and then
westward along Jameston Avenue to West Fifth Street,
resuming their regular route northward along West Fifth.

  • on West Fifth Street at Jameston Avenue.

“via Rymal and Upper James”

From 11 p.m. Thursday, April 7 until 7 a.m. Friday, April 8, inbound buses operate along their regular route to West Fifth Street and Limeridge Road West, then detour;

eastward along Limeridge West;
northward along Hawkridge Avenue; and then
westward along Jameston Avenue to West Fifth Street,
resuming their regular route northward along West Fifth.
