MiWay revises routes and services, April 25



Starting Monday, April 25, MiWay is revising its routes and services, including:

  • revising the path for buses along the 5 Dixie route so that the Sunday-and-holiday path matches the path buses follow all other days of the week; and
  • shortening the path for buses along the 107 Malton express route so that buses no longer operate to and from Humber College’s North campus during spring and summer.

Due to fewer riders riding MiWay buses during the COVID-19 pandemic, MiWay continues to suspend service along these MiExpress routes:

  • 100 Airport express;
  • 101 / 101A Dundas express (Saturdays only — service continues Mondays to Fridays);
  • 104 Derry express;
  • 185 Dixie express.

MiWay is revising service along these MiLocal routes: 5 Dixie; 24 Northwest; 26 Burnhamthorpe; 28 Confederation; 35 Eglinton; 36 Colonial - Ridgeway; 43 Matheson - Argentia; 66 McLaughlin.

And, it’s revising service along these MiExpress routes: 101 Dundas; 107 Malton.

Increasing service along a route


5 Dixie

Sunday, April 24 is the last day that buses along the route follow a different path Sundays and holidays than they do Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays.

Starting Sunday, May 1, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new Sunday-and-holiday stops

  • on Cardiff Boulevard beyond Khalsa Drive, at Transmark Court and across from Lorimar Drive [west],
  • on Lorimar Drive beyond Cardiff Boulevard, south of Cardiff, at Maxwell Road, east of Maxwell Road and at Cardiff Boulevard [east],
  • on Columbus Road beyond Derry Road East, across from Davand Drive and beside #s 6830 and 6750 Columbus and
  • on Mid-Way Boulevard across from Columbus Road and at Davand Drive and Dixie Road.

Sundays and holidays northbound buses drop off passengers at a new Sunday-and-holiday stop

  • on Cardiff Boulevard beyond Khalsa Drive.

MiWay is also adjusting the Sunday-and-holiday schedules for buses along the route.

Decreasing service along routes


5 Dixie

Sunday, April 24 is the last day that buses along the route follow a different path Sundays and holidays than they do Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays.

Starting Sunday, May 1, southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Derry Road East at Dixie Road and
  • on Dixie Road at Director Gate and Mid-Way Boulevard.

MiWay buses along this route continue to serve passengers at the stop on Derry East:

  • 42 Derry.

MiWay no longer operates transit service to and from the stops on Dixie Road. However, Brampton Transit buses along this route continue to serve passengers at the stops:

  • 18 Dixie.

MiWay is also adjusting the Sunday-and-holiday schedules for buses along the route.

107 Malton express

Due to fewer passengers attending in-person classes at Humber College’s North campus during spring and summer, MiWay is shortening the path. Friday, April 22 was the last day until September that buses operate to and from the campus.

Buses no longer operate to and from a stop

  • in Humber College terminal.

Spring / summer service ends and regular service resumes Tuesday, September 6.

Revising the paths for buses along routes


5 Dixie

Sunday, April 24 is the last day that buses along the route follow a different path Sundays and holidays than they do Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays.

Sundays and holidays starting Sunday, May 1 the Sunday-and-holday path matches the path for all other days of the week. Southbound buses start their trips on Cardiff Boulevard beyond Khalsa Drive, then proceed:

north- and westward along Cardiff;
south- and eastward along Lorimar Drive;
southward along Cardiff and Columbus Road; and then
eastward along Mid-Way Boulevard to Dixie Road,
resuming their usual Sunday-and-holiday route southward along Dixie.

Sundays and holidays southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Derry Road East at Dixie Road and
  • on Dixie Road at Director Gate and Mid-Way Boulevard.

MiWay buses along this route continue to serve passengers at the stop on Derry East:

  • 42 Derry.

MiWay no longer operates transit service to and from the stops on Dixie Road. However, Brampton Transit buses along this route continue to serve passengers at the stops:

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new Sunday-and-holiday stops

northward along Cardiff Boulevard to north of Khalsa Drive,
ending their trips.

Northbound buses drop off passengers at a new Sunday-and-holiday stop

  • on Cardiff Boulevard beyond Khalsa Drive.

MiWay is also adjusting the Sunday-and-holiday schedules for buses along the route.
