Introducing a new service

Mobility On-Request Maple-Rutherford GO Pilot Project

YRT is partnering with the City of Vaughan and Metrolinx to introduce this pilot project to help commuters ride to and from Maple and Rutherford GO stations.

Starting Monday, May 2, participants of the pilot use the YRT Mobility On-Request (MOR) application to book a free pick-up (when using a PRESTO card) by a YRT-operated vehicle from their home and get dropped off at one of the two stations. YRT will provide the same service in the evening so passengers can return home from the stations.

The partners may expand the service area as the pilot continues but, for now, they define it as lying within these boundaries:

  • North: McNaughton Road and Major Mackenzie Drive;
  • **East: Bathurst Street;
  • South: Rutherford Road;
  • West: Keele Street, Major Mackenzie Drive, GO tracks.
