2 Brant

Starting Monday, May 16, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

  • every 15 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Burlington Transit no longer interlines the buses at the Highway 407 / Dundas Park and Ride carpool lot with buses along the 3 Guelph route Mondays to Fridays from about 3 until 5:30 p.m. During that time, you must transfer between buses at the carpool lot to continue your trip along both routes. During all other times of the week, you don’t have to exit the bus at the carpool lot to continue your trip. Route 2 buses continue along route 3 when they exit the lot.

Also, passengers aboard northbound buses along route 2 can transfer to a southbound bus along route 3 on Cavendish Drive at Coventry Way.

3 Guelph

11 Sutton - Alton
25 Walkers

Starting Sunday, May 15, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

  • every 30 minutes, instead of every hour, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Transit agencies often interline buses along two or more route with a common terminal to save resources — human resources (drivers) and physical resources (buses). For example, during most times of the week, after arriving in the Highway 407 / Dundas Park and Ride carpool lot, a northbound bus along the 2 Brant route continues southbound along the 3 Guelph route. After arriving in Downtown Burlington Terminal, it continues northbound along route 2 to return to the terminal.
