Starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, MiWay is closing eastbound lanes of the Mississauga Transitway at Central Parkway, Cawthra and Tomken Stations.
Closing the eastbound stations likely affects passengers travelling aboard GO Transit buses along these routes:
- 19 Mississauga / North York;
- 29 Guelph / Etobicoke; and
- 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill.
However, GO has not confirmed that its buses are detouring.
It also affects MiWay passengers aboard buses along these routes:
- 107 Malton express; and
- 109 Meadowvale express.
MiWay is detouring the buses to drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops on nearby streets.
Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Rathburn Road East and the entrance onto the Transitway, then proceed:
eastward along Rathburn East;
northward along Cawthra Road;
eastward along Eastgate Parkway;
northward along Dixie Road; and then
eastward onto the Transitway.
At Central Parkway Station, board or exit buses on Rathburn East at Central Parkway. At Cawthra Station, board or exit buses on Eastgate beyond Cawthra. At Tomken Station, board or exit buses on Eastgate at Tomken Road.
MiWay is closing the eastbound stations and detouring the buses until May 25 (8 p.m.).
MiWay previously closed the eastbound lanes of the transitway at the three stations in March.
