Queen East / Theatre / Chapel construction: Brampton Transit detours, starting May 27



Region of Peel contractors continue the project to replace water mains and sanitary sewers and rebuild the roadways on

  • Main streets north and south between Theatre Lane / Nelson Street West and Wellington Street,
  • Queen streets west and east between Mill Street South and Theatre Lane / Chapel Street

and other streets in downtown Brampton.

From 7 p.m. Friday, May 27 until 7 a.m. Monday, May 30, the work zone for the project restricts traffic at the intersection of Queen East with Theatre / Chapel.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses along these routes, while the intersection is partially closed:

From 7 p.m. Friday, May 27 until 7 a.m. Monday, May 30, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Downtown Brampton Terminal, then detour:

southward along George Street North; and then
eastward along Queen streets west and east to Theatre Lane / Chapel Street,
resuming their regular path eastward along Queen East.

Buses drop off or pick up passengers at all regular stops.

Westbound buses operate along their regular path.
