Queens Quay filming: TTC detours, June 11



The TTC has announced that, from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, it is detouring several routes near the waterfront due to a film shoot, blocking Queens Quays East and West between Lower Jarvis and Bay Streets.

Closing the street affects TTC buses along these routes:

  • 19 Bay;
  • 72B Pape via Commissioners and Queens Quay;
  • 172 Cherry Beach; and
  • 320 Yonge overnight.

19 Bay

From 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay and Harbour Streets, then detour:

eastward along Harbour and Lake Shore Boulevard East; and then
southward along Lower Jarvis Street to Queens Quay East,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queens Quay.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street beyond Harbour Street,
  • on Queens Quay West across from Bay Street and
  • on Queens Quay East across from Freeland Street.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Queens Quay East and Lower Jarvis Street, then detour:

northward along Lower Jarvis; and then
westward along Lake Shore Boulevards East and West to Bay Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queens Quay East beyond Lower Jarvis Street and at Freeland and Yonge Streets and
  • on Bay Street beyond Queens Quay West.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Lower Jarvis Street beyond Queens Quay East.
172 Cherry Beach

From 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Queens Quay East and Lower Jarvis Street, then detour:

northward along Lower Jarvis; and then
westward along Lake Shore Boulevards East and West to Bay Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queens Quay East beyond Lower Jarvis Street and at Freeland and Yonge Streets and
  • on Bay Street beyond Queens Quay West.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Lower Jarvis Street beyond Queens Quay East.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay and Harbour Streets, then detour:

eastward along Harbour and Lake Shore Boulevard East; and then
southward along Lower Jarvis Street to Queens Quay East,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queens Quay.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street beyond Harbour Street,
  • on Queens Quay West across from Bay Street and
  • on Queens Quay East across from Freeland Street.
72B Pape via Commissioners and Queens Quay

From 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, south- and **westbound buses operate along their regular route to Queens Quay East and Lower Jarvis Street, then detour:

northward along Lower Jarvis; and then
westward along Lake Shore Boulevards East and West to Bay Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

South- and westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queens Quay East beyond Lower Jarvis Street and at Freeland and Yonge Streets and
  • on Bay Street beyond Queens Quay West.

Instead, south- and westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Lower Jarvis Street beyond Queens Quay East.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay and Harbour Streets, then detour:

eastward along Harbour and Lake Shore Boulevard East; and then
southward along Lower Jarvis Street to Queens Quay East,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queens Quay.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street beyond Harbour Street,
  • on Queens Quay West across from Bay Street and
  • on Queens Quay East across from Freeland Street.
320 Yonge overnight

After 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay and Harbour Streets, then detour:

eastward along Harbour to Yonge Street,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street beyond Harbour Street,
  • on Queens Quay West across from Bay Street and
  • on Yonge Street beyond Queens Quay East.

Northbound buses start their trips on Harbour Street at Yonge Street, then proceed:

along their regular route northward along Yonge.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Yonge Street beyond Queens Quay East.
