North Service Road East Mississauga construction: MiWay detour, starting June 14



Update — Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 3:33 p.m.: The City is expanding the closure area and MiWay is revising the detour path, starting Wednesday, March 13, 2024.


Update — Friday, December 30, 5:03 p.m.: Construction on North Service Road and the resulting MiWay detour continue until further notice.


Ontario Ministry of Transportation contractors continue a project to widen

  • the Queen Elizabeth Way between Cawthra Road and Etobicoke Creek.

Starting Tuesday, June 14, the contractors expand the work zone, requiring the City of Mississauga to close:

  • North Service Road East, eastbound lanes, between Stanfield and Dixie Roads.

MiWay is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 4 Sherway Gardens.

4 Sherway Gardens

(Updated — Friday, December 30, 5:03 p.m.) From Tuesday, June 14 until Saturday, December 31 until further notice, eastbound buses operate along their regular route North Service Road East and Stanfield Road, then detour:

northward along Stanfield;
eastward along Queensway East; and then
southward along Dixie Road to the west leg of Dixie at Sherway Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along the main part of Dixie.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on North Service Road across from Harvest Drive.

Westbound buses operate along their regular path.
