Bartley Bull Parkway construction: Brampton Transit detour, starting June 17



Starting Friday, June 17, the City of Brampton is closing

  • Bartley Bull Parkway between Main Street South and Bartley Bull Parkway [east and west]

to accommodate a project to replace the bridge over Etobicoke Creek.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 8 Centre.

The Region of Peel is installing signals on Main Street South at Peel Village Parkway during the closure of Bartley Bull.

Construction on Bartley Bull and the resulting Brampton Transit detour continue “for approximately 6 months”, meaning as late as until December 31.


8 Centre

From Friday, June 17 until Saturday, December 31, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Main Street South and Bartley Bull Parkway, then detour:

northward along Main South;
eastward along Peel Village Parkway;
southward along Bartley Bull Parkway [west] to Bartley Bull [east],
resuming their regular route eastward along Bartley Bull [east].

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Bartley Bull Parkway beyond Main Street South.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Main Street South beyond Bartley Bull Parkway and across from Charolais Boulevard.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bartley Bull Parkway at Main Street South.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Main Street South at Charolais Boulevard and across from Bartley Bull Parkway.
