Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Kennedy; Road restoration, TTC detours, overnight, June 21 to 24

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.


From 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 22 and continuing overnight nightly, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Kennedy Road north of Eglinton Avenue East,

as crews restore the roadway to its final condition after LRT construction.

The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 43 Kennedy; and
  • 343 Kennedy overnight.

Construction on Eglinton Avenue East at Kennedy Road and the resulting TTC detours continue overnight nightly until June 24 (6 a.m.)

From 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 22 and continuing overnight nightly until 6 a.m. Friday, June 24, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Kennedy Road and Bertrand Avenue, then detour:

westward along Bertrand;
southward along Ionview Road; and then
eastward along Eglinton Avenue East to Kennedy,
resuming their regular route eastward along Kennedy.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Kennedy Road beyond Landsteer Road.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Eglinton Avenue East at Kennedy Road.

**Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Kennedy Road beyond Treverton Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Eglinton Avenue East at Ionview Road.
