Burnhamthorpe Water Project - Duke of York Boulevard Mississauga: MiWay detours buses during closure, starting July 4



Starting Monday, July 4, the City of Mississauga is closing

  • Duke of York Boulevard, southbound lanes, between City View Drive and Rathburn Road West

to accommodate Region of Peel contractors who are installing a sanitary sewer. (The work is just one component of the larger Burnhamthorpe water project to improve water services in the Mississauga City Centre area.)

MiWay is detouring buses along this route around the work zone:

  • 109 Meadowvale express.

GO Transit passengers aboard buses along this route can expect detours or delays during the construction:

  • 21 Milton / Toronto.

However, GO has not announced detour-routing information.

Sewer construction on Duke of York Boulevard and the resulting GO and MiWay detours continue until August 19.


109 Meadowvale express

From Monday, July 4 until Friday, August 19, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Centre View Drive and Mavis Road, then detour:

southward along Mavis; and then
eastward along Rathburn Road West to Duke of York Boulevard,
resuming their regular route eastward along Rathburn West.

Southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at all regular stops.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.
