Starting Monday, July 25, the City of Brampton is closing
- Veterans Drive between Fann Drive and Sandalwood Parkway West
to accommodate contractors who are repairing underground utilities.
Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 26 Mount Pleasant.
Construction on Veterans Drive and the resulting Brampton Transit detour continue “for approximately three weeks”, meaning as late as until August 12.

From Monday, July 25 until Friday, August 12, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Veterans Drive and Buick Boulevard, then detour:
eastward along Buick;
southward along Robert Parkinson Drive; and then
westward along Sandalwood Parkway West to Veterans,
resuming their regular route southward along Veterans.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Veterans Drive beyond Buick Boulevard, at Fann Drive and north of Sandalwood Parkway.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Robert Parkinson Drive at Giltspur and Killick roads and
- on Sandalwood Parkway West beyond Robert Parkinson Drive.
Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.
Northbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Sandalwood Parkway West across from Fann Drive.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Robert Parkinson Drive beyond Sandalwood Parkway West and at Tribune Drive.
