Starting Tuesday, August 2, the City of Markham is closing
- Green Lane between King’s College Road and Aileen Road / Willowbrook Road
to accommodate a project to install sanitary sewers.
York Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 3 Thornhill.
Construction on Green Lane and the resulting YRT detour continue until August 8.

From Tuesday, August 2 until Monday, August 8, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Don Mills Road and John Street, then detour:
westward along John; and then
northward along Aileen Road to Green Lane,
resuming their regular route northward along Willowbrook Road.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Leslie Street at Lyndhurst Drive and beyond 14th Avenue and
- on Green Lane beyond Fallingbrooke Court and Huntington Park Drive [east], at Huntington Park Drive [west], across from King’s College Road and at Willowbrook Road.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on John Street beyond Leslie Street, at Rockingham Court, across from Chestnut Gate, Cottonwood Trail, Dawn Hill Drive and Bayview Glen Fairways Drive and at Aileen Road and
- on Willowbrook Road beyond Green Lane.
Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Green Lane beyond Aileen Road, at King’s College Road, across from Huntington Park Drive [west], beyond Huntington Park Drive [west], across from Huntington Park Drive [east] and at Alexis Road and
- on Leslie Street at Alexis Road and Tanglewood Trail.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Willowbrook Road at Green Lane and
- on John Street at Bayview Glen Fairways and Dawn Hill drives, Cottonwood Trail and Chestnut Gate, across from Rockingham Court and at Don Mills Road.
